subject: Cricket Clothing Designed For The Summer Season [print this page]

Cricket is one of those sports that can really split people's opinions, some people love it and others show no interest whatsoever. It just so happens that it is a very popular sport in this country and is mainly, but not solely, played during the summer months.

For those of use who enjoy the game it is obvious that not unlike any other competitive sport, a kit is required, this can be to mark the different teams out from each other but also to signify that they are playing the game of cricket. Of course, specific clothes are also required for the purposes of practicality and safety.

Traditionally, both teams will play in cricket whites, with an emblem of some kind denoting the difference in teams. In addition to this there are two distinctive aspects of the game; batting and fielding. This means that the batting team will only have two members of their team on the field at any one time, where as the fielding team will have all of their team present.

Cricket clothing is still a big part of the game and is something that the cricketer will need to take pride in, their cricket clothing must be kept clean and presentable at all times. However, it is accepted that during the game the cricket clothing will become soiled especially if you are playing the field.

Cricket clothing is traditionally white and as such shows up dirt quite readily, the idea behind the cricket whites is that as cricket is a summer game the players would be able to keep cooler in a white kit than any other colour. There are of course now county sides that play in various different colours and this came in with the introduction of the Sunday league.

Cricket clothing is easy to pick up too, if you are new to the sport then you will only need the basics to get you started, you should be able to find these items online or from the local sports store for a reasonable price. Remember that although the prices online may be cheaper, it is always a good idea to try the garments on before you buy them. This is even more important if you are new to the sport so that you get the right fit for your frame. You can spend some time looking in the different sports shops and compare fits and sizes.

Remember that you can always buy them later online, it only takes a quick search for cricket clothing online and you will be able to locate a selection of reputable suppliers of cricket kit and equipment. Always make sure that you check to see if they have a delivery charge, there is nothing worse than thinking you have a got a bargain only to find out that the postage and package is above and beyond any savings you would have made by buying cricket clothing online.

With the summer being here, it is the perfect opportunity to try a new sport and why not try cricket?
