subject: What You Must Avoid During The Use Of Marketing Tools [print this page]

It is quite common to see marketing plans going awry due to poor execution. This is mainly because of certain mistakes that are committed by a number of marketers. Do check out if you are committing the following mistakes while using marketing tools so as to take corrective action before it is too late.

1. Website: Most webmasters take the importance of web design pretty lightly. It has to be noted that the design of a website is what keeps the visitors interested. A website should have an appealing design coupled with some interesting images. Not more than three different types of text fonts should be used on a web page and the fonts should be similar on all pages of a website.

Traffic related data must be tracked continuously so as to keep a tab on the likes and dislikes of the visitors. This is very important so as to keep them interested and motivated enough to visit the website again and again.

2. Flyers: There are plenty of possibilities of mistake in flyer design such as:

Too many different types of fonts, too much or too little space between adjacent lines.

3. Email marketing: The most common mistake that marketers do is that they tend to float too many emails to each and every prospective customer, which can really annoy them. Know what does that result in? Marking of such emails as spam, which is not at all a good prospect for any marketer. Apart from that, the content of the email shouldnt be too flashy. Otherwise, the readers may have to strain their brain to catch the message and next time, they wouldnt bother to do so.

4. Corporate branding: Making other people know about a product is as important as manufacturing it. So, one mustnt lag behind in promoting his or her company by various means like promotion by word of mouth, catchy slogan and an attractive logo. Apart from that, the business owner must deliver what has been promised by it to the customers. Otherwise, it may put a big dent on credibility of the business.
