subject: Wow Gold Farming Guide Gathering And Farming For More Gold [print this page]

There are plenty of ways to generate gold income in WoW. Not all of them are easy to do most in fact require serious effort and time but all can pay the bills and some others. In this gold farming guide, you will find two of the best, not to mention the easiest ways, to become rich in the game.

{Gathering}

To farm for gold is your objective, but that doesnt happen until you reach levels 40 to 55. So for now, you will spend some time gathering everything as you grind or level up in the way be it gold, random drop offs, or grey items.

For starters, there are a million things that can be gathered in the game ores, weapons, herbs,, gears, cloth, stones, fish, rare finds, absurd objects, and of course gold. Everything is of value. All of them can therefore be sold, unless it's a souldbound item, auctioned off, traded, or transformed into more valuable items. You can earn decent gold one way or another.

Most players generate their income primarily through gathering. But as you advance in the game, other options will open up for you.

The main advantage of gathering gold is that free supplies, not just gold, are abundant. You get free supplies most of the time. You may not use all your finds, but you can definitely auction them off for profit. {The drawback}? Gathering requires a lot of time. Once you hit the necessary level for Farming, it's time to abandon gathering and move on.

{Farming}

Farming is a profession that is usually taken on by higher-level characters for many practical reasons. For one, higher level characters with two or more professions could benefit from whatever could be collected from monsters, mobs, and humanoids. Farming is essentially the process of repeating repeatable quests or killing off named bosses for the rewards they drop off. Most repeatable activities pay handsomely so they're always worth the time and effort.

Like gathering, farming could take significant amount of time in your game play. But there isn't a method of collecting gold that doesn't? What's good about gold farming though is that the payoff MAY be higher than other methods of collecting gold. There is a SLIGHTLY higher chance that the value of the item obtained from quests and instances MAY be higher than those obtainable from random mobs, monsters and humanoids. Further, profits are higher with farmed items than with gathered items. This works on pure chance, however. If you're lucky, you'll generate decent income from your farmed items at the Auction House. If you're not so lucky, the worst thing that could happen is that you'll lose some gold due to the auction taxes.

Maxing out your income means that you will have to know your market. Knowing the market value of your item will work for you, most of the time. Or you can take advantage of the market and give it a much higher price than its actual value. If you dont know what's the real value of your item, put it up for a ridiculous price. Someone, somewhere needs that item so you might as well take your chances. Sometimes, unwise buyers would take up this bait.

This gold farming guide further suggests that you take advantage of the days when the items at the Auction House are selling like hotcakes. These usually fall on weekends when servers are flooded with more players than usual.
