Before adequate research was done on this condition many wondered what could be the cause of tinnitus. A simple problem like accumulated ear wax could cause the dreaded tinnitus symptoms in a person. Inflammation of the inner ear parts results in enhanced level of blood supply to the affected tissue. This would result in tinnitus that means a continuous ringing or buzzing sound within the ear. The Eustachian tube would also be affected by the infection and a fluid would get accumulated in the empty space near it. This accumulated sound would be the cause for echo of a person's own voice, and the person could hear his own breathing. In fact some people could hear their own heart beats in their ears and this type of tinnitus is called as pulsatile tinnitus. Tinnitus Symptoms And Causes

A wide variety of infections and injuries are responsible for tinnitus; that is a confounding problem for the patient. A majority of these infections could be treated while some injuries to nerve endings in the ear can not be treated. Sinusitis for example would respond well to antibiotic treatment and when sinusitis is cured the tinnitus symptoms caused by it would vanish. Injuries caused to the neck and head could also cause tinnitus but proper treatment for these injuries would cause the tinnitus symptoms to subside.

Some of the lesser known tinnitus causes are excessive consumption of alcohol and use of drugs. The person with hypertension would also experience tinnitus symptoms and anemia too is one of the causes for tinnitus. Tinnitus Symptoms And Causes
