subject: Something All Top Earners Know, Do And Have [print this page] Millionaires have been made with internet network marketing. That has not, however, put much of a dent in those who would prefer the comfort of a regular job over calling their own shots. Offer them a chance to make an unlimited amount of money and they will ward you off with the sign of the cross and a necklace of garlic.
Entrepreneurs are a rare breed. They ignore the warnings, seek out their own view on the matter and plow ahead. The lack of independent thought and striking out on your own seems to indicate that the society has gone soft. Unfortunately, this has affected our economy.
Fortunately, an attitude can be changed. If we look at this from the viewpoint of a job interview, it would bring to light that it is only a point of view.
"Hello Mr. Jones. I'm calling you from a debt-free company that has a terrific product and in-house training. We have job openings for marketing specialists. We will train you, let you hire as many people as you want with one proviso ... if you don't sell anything, you won't get paid. On the other hand, Mr. Jones, if you study hard and do your job, you could make quite a bundle! You could even retire within a couple of years on a healthy six-figure income. Sound good?"
If Mr. Jones is a comfort-zone employee he will turn this job down in a flash. One thing he is certain of is that he cannot count on a production based income. He needs a wage with which he can predict no matter how badly he does his job. He cannot count on himself. How did he get like this? One thing you can do for him is ask him and let him talk. He may just figure it out for himself. But if he doesn't, let him go. He won't be a leader until he comes out of that groove he is stuck in.
The main word for Mr. Jones is failure. He is so busy trying not to fail that he does not realize he is stuck in that failure and has been there all along. The fact that he knows he WILL fail does not change that he HAS failed and never found a way out of it.
If, like any other job, Mr. Jones put in the hours, got trained, got the experience and believed in himself just enough to persist through the uphill climb to success? If he got the training and experience during his employment, no matter what happens with the company, he would walk away with something valuable -- knowledge and experience.
There are major differences in views of predictability and comfort. While Mr. Jones needs his wage, schedule and easily done job, the entrepreneur is only happy when his destiny is in his own hands. he is comfortable when every day is a new adventure. Luck has nothing to do with anyone's fortune.
Definitely age, origin, education level, etc. do NOT play a part in this. None of this matters in network marketing. This is evident at a rewards night. You might see a wheelchair, a walker and many people who do not speak English being awarded cars, cruises and a big fat check. They earned it, they get it.
The main ingredient is the energy one feels when your personal why, your motivation, your demand for your dream is fired up and burning inside. Some have to have their backs to the wall. It's a personal matter of what is important to THAT person. It could even get Mr. Jones going.
Every business needs a few of these fired up people and most do. The girl who remembers everyone's birthday, the one who tells jokes and even the guy who insists things get done. Without them, people would not want to come to work.
MLMs or internet marketing teams concentrate on bringing out that quality and so keep the team moving forward, make leaders, keep the challenge there. If the drive is strong enough, the rewards can be amazing. Which are you? A couch potato or a leader?
