subject: Druid Guide Useful Information About The Class [print this page]

If there's one hybrid in WoW and one that has four skills at that that's got to be the Druids. They dish out some powerful tanking skills, healing, ranged and melee damage dealing. This Druid guide will provide useful information on the abilities, talents, and limitations of the class.

{Who are the druids}?

The Druids are the masters of nature and wielders of natural powers inherent to the World of Warcraft. To a Druid, the preservation and the protection of the balance in nature is of prime importance. They understand that the delicate equilibrium in nature must be preserved, otherwise havoc may occur. The Druid therefore works constantly to restore the balance in nature.

Needless to say, Druids mostly draw their powers from nature, harnessing the wild energy to command the forces of nature in battle and change their shapes according to their needs. The nature provides the Druids with necessary powers to turn them into capable tankers, casters, healers and damage dealers. But more than anything else, the nature gives the Druids the capacity to shapeshift an ability not owned by any other class.

{Strengths, Abilities and Limitations of a Druid}

It is very possible that the Druids stand out in WoW in terms of flexibility. Their very deep connection with nature gives them a vast selection of roles to play.

Druids are perhaps better known for their impressive healing talents. They are capable of restoring life, removing curses, and curing poisonous wound with extra skills for resurrecting their fallen comrades. However, to think that they can only do healing is a very simplistic way of looking at their abilities. There is more to them than what meets the eye.

The Druids are a class of their own when it comes to connecting with the creatures of the wild. This allows them to shapeshift into different animal forms whenever they need to. For one, Druids can turn into bears when their magical powers are threatened. They can also become an aquatic creature if they need to explore underwater territories.

Just as the Druids can restore and preserve nature's balance, however, it can also harness the fury of nature to hurl down its opponents to their graveyards. They can, for example, call on the storm to kill their enemies. They can also use harmless roots for bringing down their foes.

The limitations of the Druids lie in its strengths. They thrive in nature and in natural environments alone and thus lose some of their powers when not in such conditions. For obvious reasons, they are incapable of summoning the powers of nature when they are in closed spaces. The Druids are highly adaptable, however, it could take time before a player learns how to use the druid's adaptability to its advantage.

In gist, this Druid guide sees the class as an unusual combination of a Priest, a Warrior, a Mage, and a Rogue. Despite being a very versatile character though, they still remain the quintessential jack-of-all-trades of WoW.
