subject: Why Pick A Subtlety Pvp Rogue [print this page]

Impressive DPS is where all the talents of an Assassination is hinged. Sustained DPS, meanwhile, is the core talent of any Combat Rogue. But if you are planning to PvP your way to honor, the best arsenal of talents are found in the Subtlety tree. Its sheer combination of talents makes it the perfect talent tree for a PvP Rogue as well as a Rogue that's specced for the battlegrounds.

Surprise attacks is the name of a Subtlety Rogue's game. The initial challenge to picking your path towards the final tier of the talent tree is to decide which talent to pick up first with your first talent point. Because unlike other classes, the talents on the first tier of this tree are downright awesome. So you are likely to invest more than five points on the talents at tier one.

Relentless Strikes is a good choice as it gives you back 25% of the energy you used with your finishing moves. You also shouldnt pass up on Opportunity which gives the Subtlety Rogues fundamentals moves some very significant enhancements.

At the second tier, you should get Camouflage which will definitely give your Stealth capabilities some improvements. This helps a great deal in lessening the downtime when returning to your Stealth mode. But Camouflage is not just a talent that complements your Stealth. This also helps a great deal in enhancing your speed in Stealth mode. If you dont want to pick this talent in favor of either Dirty Tricks or Sleight of Hand, just think of one thing you're good as dead if your stealth isnt optimized.

The Elusiveness is the talent that makes most Rogue tricks even more fun to use. You see, Rogues depend on their tricks to win out PvP fights. Reduce your cooldowns by investing some of your talent points on Elusiveness. You can also pick up the Ghostly Strike. Stealth-wise, this offers nothing significant but it helps a great deal in improving your dodging capabilities. It also pairs up well with the talents in the lower tiers.

Setup is the way to go if you have chosen the Ghostly Strike. {Great for melee encounters}.

Initiative is also a good talent if you want good combo points, if you use it with Cheap Shot, that is. If you're wielding Cheap Shot, you should try to invest some on Dirty Deeds. Otherwise, you can roll the Preparation or Hemorrhage.

And the succeeding tiers are pretty much self-explanatory. Your PvP Rogue can never go wrong if you just stick with the path leading to the Shadow Dance.
