subject: Paladin Leveling Guide Why A Paladin Makes For A Good Choice And A Few Tips To Help With Your Le [print this page]

As a leveling Paladin, you have a few abilities that you can particularly excel in, although Paladins can be pretty decent in most abilities available to other classes. This Paladin leveling guide will allow you to see why the warriors of the Holy Light could be a good choice for you.

{What Are The Paladins}

Protectors of the Alliance and upholders of the Holy Light, the Paladins posses a very good combination of melee capabilities, spell casting abilities and healing abilities. Wielding their massively destructive weapons combined with the strength of the Holy Light, these warriors of the Holy Light, so the speak, command the forces of the battle while all the while throwing themselves where the battles are thickest.

It could be said that the Paladins are the ultimate hybrid class. They are an Alliance-only class, the counterpart of the Horde-only Shamans, although the Burning Crusade has given Blood Elves the option of becoming Paladins. They are essentially the go to class for people who want a hybrid healer-tanker character. While they may never be able to surpass the abilities and durability of the Warriors, the Rogues and the Hunters, they nevertheless arent far behind with their healing spells and bluffs. They are the only class, with the exception of the Warriors, that can wear heavy plate armors, which are arguably a very valuable defensive tool. They are also the only class besides the warriors that can wield the most destructive two-handed swords, maces and axes.

Aside from having the option of becoming an impressive fighter, the Paladins are also capable of becoming excellent wielders of the Holy Light and Protectors as well. They are capable of casting a wide range of spells, including attack spells, protective spells, and healing spells.

The protective talents of the Paladins, however, are not limited to giving protection to the weak. They can tank very well, mitigate damage for every class, reduce the threat to their allies, and heal themselves and their allies while being attacked.

In short, the Paladins are designed to deal damage to their opponents as well protect their allies in battle. They thrive in their ability to outlast their opponents. It simply doesn't get any better than that.

{Now with leveling your Paladin}

For simplification's sake, let's just say that the Paladins are split into three separate talent trees the Holy, Protection, and Retribution.

The Holy build provides all the spells the Paladin needs to become an exceptional healer. The talents in this build can craft a hero Paladin that specializes in protecting allies. Finally is the Retribution build that makes the Paladin a very decent comrade in battle.

As you progress in the game, you will have to choose on which builds you distribute your talent points. No matter which build you choose to follow, the Paladin remains to be a force to reckon with in any type of game. A talent calculator could be helpful in distributing the talent points you earn as you reach higher levels.

Paladin leveling is pretty easy during the first few levels of the game. As a newbie, you'll have damage capabilities similar with every other class although you can enjoy good heals. As you move through the game, though, you will have to identify which talent tree to purse.

This particular Paladin leveling guide suggests that you read and finish all the quests offered to you by your trainers. Doing this should help introduce you to the game especially if you are a newbie. Also, it is not a bad idea to have a comprehensive leveling guide to guide you through the fastest routes to the higher levels of the game.
