{A Brief History on the Alliance}
Otherwise known as the Grand Alliance, the Alliance is a faction that is generally bound by their respect for scared concepts like honor and nobility. This is in stark contrast with the need to survive and fight together even though alliances that bound the Horde are not strong.
The Grand Alliance is also known for its ancient name, the 'Alliance of Lordaeron' because its seat of leadership was once in the human-dominated Lordaeron Empire in the Eastern Kingdoms. Nowadays, the former territories are being fought over by fragments of human resistance forces called the Scourge and the Forsaken as well as the Scarlet Crusade and the Argent Dawn. After the Plague Of Undeath that ravaged the kingdom and neighboring regions, the Alliance moved its major forces to the Eastern Kingdom continents of Azeroth and Khaz Modan.
{Major Members Of The Alliance}
The Alliance is composed of 5 major races: the Draenei of the Exodar, the Humans of Stormwind, Dwarves of Khaz Modan, the Night Elves of Darnassus, and the Gnomes of Gnomeregan. A new ally to this faction is the Worgen of Glineas which is composed of the strongest human nations which joined as allies in the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
{The Draenei }
The Dreanei are the exiles of the planet Argus that is led by one of the planet's most prominent leaders, Velen. Their escape from corruption brought them to what is now their homeland, the Draenor or the 'Exile's Refuge'.
{The Humans}
The Humans are the foremost member of the Grand Alliance; they were there when it was formed in the old Kingdom of Lordaeron. This was after the human's primary stronghold the Stormwind City was ravaged in the First War.
{The Dwarves}
The Dwarves are the moluntain-dwelling, peace-loving race that is dedicated to perfecting their jewelry and metal crafts. However, when they are called to battle, they give it no second thought and go as quickly as they can to battle. The Dwarves have pledged their allegiance to the Alliance after the invasion of the homeland, the Khaz Modan in the eastern kingdoms during the invasion of the Bleeding Hollow Clan.
{The Gnomes}
Of all races in the Wolrd of Warcraft universe, the Gnomes are the most peculiar of all. They are the creators and developers of intriguing technologies and engineering and are therefore the providers of the technological wonders for the Alliance.
{The Night Elves }
the Night Elves are WoW's first-born. They are immortals whose regard and general distrust to lesser beings have forced them to shut themselves off from the rest of the world in Hyjal, their Holy Mountain and in the forests of Northern Kalimdor. But with the Third War stirring their otherwise peaceful and shadowy way of life, the Night Elves have become fast allies to what remains of the survivors of the Lordaeron.
