There are many more opportunities that you can take advantage of if you want to work with dogs than simply becoming a vet. If you are interested in working with dogs and then here are some jobs with dogs that you might want to look into.

Instead of becoming an actual vet, why not become a vets assistant instead, or simply join the staff of any veterinarian practice. Vets will employee all sorts of different members of staff to supply all sorts of different roles within the office, and any of these roles will involve interaction with the various dogs and other pets that will come in.

Of course, you could also become an animal care technician. A care technician will essentially be responsible for taking care of any dogs and other animals within the vets office and as such you will need to feed them, clean them, and generally look after their health.

If you wanted to you could also work in a kennel and take care of the dogs on a longer term basis while there owners are away on holiday or for any other reason. By doing this you will be able to work with some of the same dogs day in day out for up to a few weeks at a time, and therefore can really develop relationships with them. You will have to feed them, clean them, kept their health, and take them for walks every single day.

How about becoming an animal trainer? People all over the world want to train their pets to be more obedient and you could fill this gap in the market if you have the relevant skills to do so. Not only will people try to teach their animals general obedience, but many will also teach them more advanced tricks as well, especially for shows and festivals.

In fact, you may also want to consider becoming a groomer or a stylist for dogs. In the image obsessed world in which we live people are not only focusing on their own personal vanity but also on that of their dogs as well. Not only this, but pets need to be groomed and styled for various competitions that they might enter as well, and so you could be the one to supply this service.

Whatever direction you would like to take, there are plenty of different jobs out there for animal lovers.
