subject: Searching For Plus Size Apparel On The Internet, Part 2 [print this page] This article will help you perform Internet searches with laser accuracy that give results that target exactly what you want. So get ready to learn more awesome tips, tricks, and secrets for Internet shopping.
In Part 1, you learned some of the basic techniques for commanding any of the Internet search engines to find the clothing items that you are looking for... whether it is a plus size black party dress, or the perfect faux fur to accent your stunning evening gown. Now get ready to really control the search engines with commands that will provide pinpoint accuracy.
So now for Part 2, here are some more of the tips, tricks and secrets I use when shopping online:
Tip, Trick and Secret #4. Combine multiple quoted search terms. Remember how you learned to use quoted search terms in Part 1? To re-cap, instead of just entering: plus size pants, add the quotes to your search terms and type: "plus size pants". Simple, right? Well now you are going to learn how to extend this trick even further. All you need to do is combine the quoted search terms for an even more powerful search capability. For example, here is what you specify to a search engine in order to find leather pants in a size 22:
"leather pants" +"size 22"
So now the search engine will return results that only contain leather pants in a size 22, which is exactly what you are looking for, right? Notice what occurred here, you combined the quoted search terms by simply including a plus sign (+). How about if you wanted a black dress in a size 24? You would enter: "black dress" +"size 24". Pretty easy, right? Here's another one what you specify in a search engine to find a black dress in a size 24 that is strapless? Just type: "black dress" +"size 24" +"strapless".
Tip, Trick and Secret #5. Tell the search engine to ignore some items. Even though you can use multiple quoted items to accurately specify what you are looking for, sometimes you can still end up with too many search results. For example, if you are looking for a black dress in a size 20 you enter: "black dress" +"size 20". You may notice that some of the search results include size 20 dresses that are black but also have glitter accents (which you don't want!). So how do you tell the search engine to NOT include those in the results? Easy, just specify include the search term with a minus sign (-). So, now you just need to enter: "black dress" +"size 20" -"glitter". Now the search results are laser focused with exactly what you want, and you can also eliminate some of the extra items that are close but not close enough.
So remember, whenever you shop for larger size apparel on the Internet you can find exactly what you want using the techniques I have described in my articles. Using the techniques described here in Part 2 of the series, you can take on the Internet and shop online more effectively. Be sure to follow my directions and try it out for yourself. You'll be able to find what you're looking for easily and quickly, saving yourself time and becoming more satisfied with the whole online shopping experience.
