When the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Aqaba meet, subsequently becoming the Red Sea, you will find Sharm el Sheikh. The coastal town has many outlets to that provide both diving enthusiast and those trying it for the first time, with great resources to enjoy the warm and colourful waters of the Red Sea.

Na'ama Bay located within Sharm el Sheikh provides a large amount of diving operators to choose from including Sinai Divers Naama Bay, Camel Dive Club, Emperor Divers, Enigma Charters, Ocean College, Oonas Dive Center, RedSea Diving College, Diving Ocean, Ultimate Diving Holidays, Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village and finally the Dolphin Diving Center. The reason there is such a large amount of these operators is because they all offer varied types of dives and some more tuned to experienced divers than others. One of dives recommended for the seasoned diver is the Diving Safari which will take you to see some exquisite and beautiful reefs which are far beyond any day trip on a boat. Plus this dive will be away from the popular spots so you will be rid of the crowds, also the cost is little difference too.

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism funded the construction of the Sharm el Sheikh Hyperbaric Medical Centre back in 1993, which deals with specific diving related injuries. The reason for building this was to fully set up the areas reputation and credentials as a complete dive destination.

The reason for the success of diving excursion in Sharm el Sheikh is its fortunate location of two fantastic reefs the Tiran and Ras Mohammed. The reef of Ras Mohammed is located just off the shore of Sharm el Sheikh and is the National Park of South Sinai, and is regarded as most famous dive sites in and around the Red Sea. The reef walls are over 2,600 ft deep with magnificent coral gardens that definitely worth the dive. There is also the Tiran reef which is located east from Sharm el Sheikh, just along the coast. Perhaps the only disadvantage is that there will be a number of boats there to enjoy the sights. You can expect to see huge schools of Barracudas as well as Sharks and Murrays that frequent these warm waters. Due to the increase of plankton in this area you will catch a glimpse of some stunning fish in a variety of colours that will truly astound you.
