subject: Herbalism Guide For World Of Warcraft [print this page]

In WoW, two types of professions exist one is the primary profession and the other is the secondary profession. You can only choose two primary professions at once although you can acquire skills from all the secondary professions. Herbalism complements alchemy and inscription well. This herbalism guide will help you learn the ropes of this profession.

{Uses of Herbalism}

While it is possible for Alchemists and Scribes to buy, trade, and even beg for ingredient materials from other players, having the ability to gather free supplies for themselves takes out the cost of buying and trading as well as the time spent on doing both. Needless to say, Herbalism allows for convenience and ease of acquiring materials.

Apart from that, Herbalism also helps with the economy of the game, particularly on allowing Herbalists to earn on the side while supplying themselves with free materials.

{Tools }

While miners and skinners need special tools to gather ores and skin animals, herbalists require nothing except herb bags to benefit from the profession.

Herb bags are special bags that contain herbs and other related items. These bags go into your 4 available bag slots or bank bag slots in your inventory. As a special type of bag, this can contain more items than standard bags could curry for your current level.

These bags can be purchased from any in-game vendors that sell stuff for Herbalists. Larger variants such as those bags that contain as many as 24 slots are available from the tailors that posses Cenarion Circle Rep; they could be found at the Auction House. For higher-level herbalists, larger bags with 32 slots can be bought from tailors with 435 level.

{Abilities}

The primary ability needed by Herbalists is the Find Herb which helps herbalists to detect and track nearby harvestable plants. As a Herbalist, you can skill this ability as an Apprentice Herbalist.

{Tips}

{Best race for the profession} While all races and classes are viable for this profession, the Taurens seem to have the best advantage as Herbalists. This is thanks to the +15 on Cultivation on the racial of the Taurens. Even with this racial quality however, Taurens still require training to make full use of it.

{For starters} As a general rule, profession trainers can be found around the World of Warcraft. You may find an Herbalism trainer at your starter. Undergoing training is a necessary prerequisite to level up in the 5 levels of proficiency of the profession, four if youre playing the Burning Crusade.

{For finding trainers} Horde and Alliance players find their trainers in different locations. For Horde starters, you can find your trainer in Brill, Tirisfal Glades and for Alliance starters, your trainer can be found in the Stormwind City in Elwynn Forest. A neutral trainer is located in the Booty Bay in Stranglethorn.

{For ease of finding herbs} Find Herbs is a skill that can be paired with any WoW herbalism guide map. A map should make it easier for you to locate and loot herb nodes within the game.
