To get closer to God

I have found that the more i pray i do indeed get closer to God.

I find praying is just talking to God about your cares, woes, thoughts and answers that you want from God.

Praying brings with it a peace and calm, and a joy to know God is listening to your worries.

Reason 2

God demands we pray

God does demand we pray to him, to seek answers from him.

I feel its like this, if you are a parent and have children, how would you like it,

if your child never consulted you

about lifes worries. Or never talked to you at all. you would be pretty upset wouldnt you?

God loves to hear about the things we have done.

He does like the thanks we give him for the good and the bad lessons, that we have learnt that day.

God is our father and as such he is interested in his children.

Reason 3

To understand the Bible better it is better to pray first

I have found that when i read the Bible, that if I ask God what verse he wants me to read,

he gives a verse he wants to teach me about. and if i pray whilst reading God will reveal to me

what he wants me to know.

It is in this way we can glean so much more from the Bible.

Reason 4

To feel Gods presence

I have found that when deep in prayer, i can indeed feel Gods presence.

When i give a personal prophecy, i usually go into prayer and God will reveal to me what he has to say to the person.

Sometimes i get a word from God that seems way out to me, but i included it in the prophecy.

I remember once i said Jesus has a red car for you, it turned out the person had been waiting for an answer to

her prayer for a car.

When i pray to God i can sometimes see him and then i know his presense is with me in the room.

Reason 5

To hear God

I think i have touched on this subject in the above reasons, but here is another thing.

Sometimes i get a message saying dont go that way, or turn right here.

Then i later find out that some guys had been waiting for me, to beat me up, or i had avoided an traffic jam.

So to sum up Pray to God at all times, just chat to him throughout the day you wont be disapointed.

You can pray driving the car or walking down the street, it dosent have to be on your knees or with your eyes shut.

I f you can learn to pray in tongues, this is good for when you dont have the words to say, your spirit will speak the words

of Gods language for you.
