You should try to think about the style of bathroom that you're going for before you start decorating your mirror. If you are creating a nautical theme then you could decorate it with some rope and shells. These can be glued on quite easily, just make sure you use a waterproof glue which will withstand the steam in your bathroom.
Another great idea is to create a unique personalized mirror. It's fairly easy to do this with some of your photos around the outside of the frame. To protect these you should coat them with a layer of transparent varnish. You must make sure whatever you use is suitable for use in bathrooms.
Ready Made Mirrors
If you don't fancy customizing or making a mirror yourself then you can just get one readymade. These mirrors are ready to hang on your wall as soon as you get them home. You can find these mirrors in many different budgets which will suit anyone.
You should consider the color scheme of the rest of your bathroom, try to choose a nice looking mirror which complements or contrasts this. You can use stainless steel to create a modern look, however you will need to polish this regularly to keep it looking fantastic. A top tip is to use a tiny amount of baby oil to give it an amazing sheen.
It can be much harder to clean wooden mirrors as you can't polish the surface. If it is varnished then you should be aware that it will need redoing as over time the steam from your baths will affect the finish.
