There are many different causes of house odors. Though such odors may not pose harmful effects to your health immediately, it is certainly not a sign that the home is unclean. Living in house with different odors is definitely not a pleasant experience; such odors may even cause your house to sit on the market for months when you wish to sell it. You must learn ways to eliminate the different odors in your house.

After the wet season, I usually notice a strong mold odor in my wardrobe. I understand that the humid weather causes such smell but I really cannot stand it for it is in my wardrobe. You have two ways to eliminate such mold odor. One is to put a piece of bath soap into the wardrobe and the other is to put a small bag of tea.

Though I do not smoke, cigarette smell is left after my friends smoke in my house. What I usually do is to open all the windows and wait for the cigarette smell to go away. But I find this method not really effective unfortunately. In fact, you can use white vinegar for help. Soak a cloth with white vinegar and wave the cloth in your house. The vinegar quickly neutralizes the cigarette smell.

With the "heavy traffic" in my bathroom every day, it sometimes smells despite my regular cleaning. Instead of using chemical deodorizers, white vinegar can again help remove the smell. It is really simple. Just put a small cup of white vinegar in your bathroom and you will have the smell eliminated.

Having a refurbishment or renovation for your house is definitely a good way to add colors to your life. But the paint smell after that is not that good to most of people. If you do not find ways to eliminate such smell, it may stay there for a month or more. The best method is to put some salt or onions into a bucket of cold water. Leave the solution in the house for 1 to 2 days. The smell can be easily got rid.

I have a metal trash can at home and it sometimes smells. Removing the trash from it does a little help for the strong odor. One of my friends teaches me an effective method. It is better to burn a piece of paper inside the rubbish bin. After the piece of paper is burnt, the smell goes away.
