subject: Flying Or Driving, You Decide [print this page]

Most people by nature really enjoy travelingMost people by nature really enjoy traveling. Enjoying the fun and adventure of a new destination almost always is very exciting and satisfying. While most faraway ports include flying, some travelers will choose not to fly. Not flying will most defiantly limit where your vacation destination will be, unless you have months of time and enjoy sailing.

If you are pressed for time during your vacation, driving might not work if the destination is on the other side of the country. Driving from coast to coast or any distant points in between can really use up your time driving and not being able to enjoy the vacation. A week or even two weeks will be spend on the road trying to get there or get back home in time. This hardly makes for a memorable vacation.

Just a trip that will require you spend more than one day on the road is good enough reason to seriously consider flying to your destination. This added cost of the gas, hotel room accommodations will make flying more attractive and affordable and a lot less tiring than the endless miles of driving and driving in sometimes less than desirable road and weather conditions. Flying will get you to most any destination in the continental US and even some neighboring ports within a few hours. Flying just makes for a better, safer, more relaxed and stress free environment to travel.

It sure is a lot easier on the stress levels unless you actually have a fear of flying. That could make a difference and is harder to overcome than just a dislike of flying and the hassles that it entails. But flying overall can make for a better vacation, if not just for the fact that you can get there quicker and start enjoying the vacation that much sooner.

After a long drive, you feel like you need some recovery time before you can even start having fun. After a short flight, you can get right into having fun and doing the cool stuff that you went on vacation to do in the first place. Not to mention the fact that you can't even drive to certain places like Hawaii or anywhere that has water between us and them. The only option is a cruise to some of these places and that might work.
