subject: Are Travel Mlms Scams? ~ A Worldventures Review...is It The Best Mlm? [print this page]

Are travel MLMs scams? I set out to answer this question. In the process and as a result I found myself doing a Travel MLM Review. Why? Because every time I researched I kept coming across one company...WorldVentures. My first impression of travel network marketing is that of course it is a scam. There is no product to sell. No bottle or candle or card or jewelry or the thousands of other products marketed by MLMs. I had always thought that there had to be a physical product in order to be legitimate. In reality what I found was that, providing its legitimacy, a travel MLM could provide many products and experiences on a broader spectrum. Delivering a deeper experience for the consumer than all of the other products. Now let me tell you about WorldVentures and what I found.

Like I said I kept coming across it and I decided to put it to the test. I ask these questions of all MLMs to decide if they are worth my effort. How old is the company? Is it a US company? Have they expanded internationally? Are they in debt? What have they earned in revenue? There are more questions you should ask but these are the most important.

So I asked all of these about WorldVentures. The most amazing thing is I couldn't find anything negative about this company. All of the questions answered were positive. Here is what I found out. The company was founded in December 2005. A perfect age for a successful company for both the company and reps. CHECK. It is based in Plano Texas (just outside of Dallas), USA. CHECK. They have now expanded into 14 other countries. CHECK. Since their inception they have generated over 300 million dollars in revenue. CHECK. After 3 months they were debt free as a company. DOUBLE CHECK! I told you.

I also found out that they have been named to the "Global 100" by Direct Selling News. Which means they are one of the 100 largest direct selling companies in the world. I would call this a clue!

To get the big picture about this company you must also look at the executive team. The CEO is Mike Azcue and the Chief Visionary Officer is Wayne Nugent, both MLM giants in their own right. Dan Stammen (of Pre-Paid Legal fame) is the head of all marketing. He sold his massive business to join WorldVentures. The icing on the cake is the Director of Training is Marc Accetta. Marc Accetta has taken other MLMs to the top and is now locked in for the long haul with the company.

One other question I wanted to ask was: Is there any money to be made in a travel mlm? Shortest answer is YES. Travel netowrk marketing companies have very little competition, while there are hundreds if not thousands of different companies in other industries all fighting over the same piece of the pie. The kicker is that the travel industry is the largest in the world. Which makes for a bigger pie to share with only a few.

The last little bit of investigating I did was on their two products. The first is a Travel web site called Rovia. It is performing very well in direct competition with the big boys (Expedia, Travelocity, etc.). The second product is a vacation club called DreamTrips. This is their flagship product. Their are to many details to get into, but it is safe to say that this product is the reason they are doing so well.

This company is currently features in my MLM Spotlight on my blog at MattBousum.com so be sure to visit to get the 411 on this amazing company.
