subject: The Art Of Sweetness [print this page]

The dessert is a word that by itself causes our appetite to rise and we start to salivate. There is nothing you can dislike about a dessert. It is a marvelous cooking creation which can satisfy all kinds of tastes, there isn't someone who doesn't enjoy the sweet taste of chocolate, fundament, sugar and other ingredients. And of course desserts are different - from the amazing pastries which have an astonishing taste, form and disintegrate in your mouth to the chocolate dishes which just melt when you eat them.

There are two ways to taste such desserts. You can either buy them from a candy store or prepare them yourself. However the feeling you get from creating a dessert and then consuming it is something totally different than just buying one from the store. And most people buy desserts from candy stores, because they think that it is very hard to create a good dessert without proper teaching, but they are very wrong.

Desserts aren't a thing that is very hard to make. There are just a few simple rules which must be followed and taken in mind when trying to create a dessert which will have an astonishing flavor and the ability to satisfy even the most exquisite tastes.

And the rules really aren't that many - just four main ones. The first rule is to make sure that you properly measure the ingredients you add to the mixture, because if you miss the perfect quantity, the dessert will drastically change to good or bad. However it will most likely turn bad. The usage of a scale is also very important. When you add the liquid ingredients make sure to use a scale so that you don't miss the perfect proportions needed for the dessert.

Another important part of your dessert cooking equipment is the good and accurate candy thermometer. With it you'll be able to see the proper and accurate temperatures of your desserts. The temperature at which the desert is cooked is very important - if it is too low the dessert will stay soft and fall apart in your hands. And if the temperature is way too high the dessert will over bake. Also frequently check all the boiling points of the different liquids used in the mix.

So you can notice that the creation of a dessert isn't as hard as you though, instead it is quite easy and all you need is to be precise, have accurate timing and practice a lot, these are the three main steps to follow when trying to create the perfect dessert.
