subject: R4 Dsi With Sd Card [print this page] Last month Nintendo released their third version of the R4 Dsi hand held called the Nintendo Dsi. I'm sure many people are trying to figure out if they should trade in their current hand held and pick up the new R4 Dsi. Well I'm going to provide you with the information to adjudge for yourself if it will be worth getting. First of all as you can see from the pictures floating around the web that the R4 Dsi shares many common attributes with the actual including the dual screens, one of which is a touch screen and the flip close design
Where the new design differs is in several simple improvements like being lighter and slimmer than the original, increasing the size of the screens, and the addition of two cameras. The two motion sensing cameras, one on the inside hook that is facing the gamer and the other on the away from facing away for taking pictures, form an "eye" which is where the new name comes from. The cameras may just be simple but they still take a good picture. R4 Dsi also added an SD card slot on the right side and removed the power switch which has been replaced with a power button once again.
The R4 Dsi is only available in black right now but you can always get a skin for your console or they may release it in different colors in the next upcoming months like there are in Japan. Even though there may be a lack of R4 Dsi specific games there are still games are being designed to take advantage of the DS's new cameras for added new functionality. Even though the R4 Dsi isn't a major change to Nintendo's hand held formula it's still great in its own right. The cameras alone are worth picking it up for me. And the great thing about the Nintendo Dsi is that you can continue to play all your old great Ds games.
