subject: Tips For Great Office Hygiene [print this page]

Many people spend up to forty hours a week or more working in their office with their coworkers. Believe it or not, even though so much time is spent there, many people overlook the importance of good office hygiene. There are many things that you can do to help keep your office nice and clean for you and the people around you.

In order to make sure that all of the office workers can practice good hygiene, it is important to be well stocked up on hygienic supplies. You will need to have soap for the bathrooms, paper towers, and hand sanitizer readily available.

Anytime that you find yourself using the restroom at work, make it a habit to always wash your hands before you leave. Use hot water and a lot of hand soap when washing and scrub for fifteen to thirty seconds.

If you have time do your best to tidy up the area that you are responsible for in your work place. Use an antibacterial soap when wiping down the work station and any chairs that may accompany the desk. These areas typically receive a lot of visitors and can become dirty quite quickly.

Garbage cans often become a breeding ground for many types of unhealthy bacteria and are commonly allowed to remain in the area until full. Empty small cans to a larger receptacle in another area as often as possible.

One of the best ways to keep the area well cleaned is to hire a professional cleaning crew to come in weekly and clean the area thoroughly. This can help prevent the spread of any germs and ensure that the area is well cleaned often. The additional cost is well worth the comfort of knowing that your area has been cleaned well each and every week.
