"Selling 101: What Every Successful Sales Professional Needs to Know" by Zig Zigler. At one time when I had every tape Zig ever produced, and he produced a lot of them. He is an complete joy to hear and teaches every move a great salesperson is ever going to need in this book. Likewise highly recommended. If you like Zig, I really encourage you to get some of his recordings, you will never tire of hearing them.

The other skill you have to learn, is the way to produce your own prospects. The real pros in network marketing all generate their own leads one way or another. The reason you ought to develop your own leads, is, any time prospects are coming to you instead of you chasing after them, you're in a whole new ballgame.

When a prospect asks you for recommendation, which is what these people will do with self generated leads, you're in charge. If you are in charge, people do whatever you recommend, which would be to enroll in your plan. It is not uncommon for networkers who produce their own leads to close a fresh signup to their primary program every single day each week.
