Horseback riding is an enjoyable recreational activity and likewise a challenging sport. Riding is a sport which generally does not limit people to express their fashion sense. Jewelries or accessories are prohibited because these might accidentally entangle with the reigns or the horse and cause injuries.

3. Assess the health and temperament of the horse.

Like humans, horses also tend to have mood swings. These are times when the horses are not fit for riding. During such situations, allow the horse to rest and be checked by a veterinarian and do not force it to train. Doing so might aggravate its condition and endanger its rider.

4. Refrain from training when not well or feeling sick.

A sick handler is an equally dangerous factor as with a sick horse. Horse training requires fast reflexes and a good judgment which is impaired when a person is not feeling well.

5. Follow rules on proper mounting and dismounting.

Unless the handler is a skilled cowboy, stick to the acceptable and standard mounting and dismounting practices to avoid making the horse panic.

After all the safety precautions have been followed during horse training course, it can happen that unavoidable accidents can still occur. During such situations, it is necessary to be able to have access to help to avoid inevitable consequences.
