With that, you could also apply the same process to the scissors. You could wrap its handles so to have an easy handling. This way, you can prevent grease and some other dirt to get into your hands and some other areas it could transfer such as other used tools and used tool boxes.
You could sharpen the scissors, chisels and some other materials that you are using for cutting regularly. It does need some sharpening especially after three uses as it becomes so hard to use.
You could also have sandpaper; it is a proven way for sharpening. By cutting the sandpaper you would definitely sharpen your materials.
Do not also forget to have the used tool boxes for regular cleaning. Do not leave deposits of soaps in it. You can also use some of spray cleaners to avert the development of the rust not like with the use of soaps.
There are also some things that you could do with the used tool boxes. Try giving them a second chance for being the storage of some different items like the needles and threads. You could also consider giving it for the kids to have the small parts of their toys like cars and robot to be stored there. You just have to clean it and you can use it again.
