subject: How Safe Is The Safe Schools Czar? [print this page] Reading the pedophilia fantasies and other smut that Obama's "Safe Schools Czar" Kevin Jennings and his organization, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) are pushing on American schoolchildren left me feeling incensed. This organization started out as Jennings' own personal project and has grown to be the mammoth organization that it is today, working towards making schools safe for all children, irrespective of their gender identity and sexual orientation. And it is because of the success of this organization that he was hand-picked by President Obama to hold the prestigious post of America's Safe Schools Czar .
One of GLSEN's biggest goals is to protect gay students and prevent harrasment based on sexual orientation in schools. One of the methodologies that they recommend in this regard is to push for the inclusion of gay-friendly material into the educational curriculum. They have a recommended reading list of books to help further this cause. These are basically the books that GLSEN wants every school going kid to read - they are meant to empower and increase self-esteem in homosexual children and promote tolerance and understanding in heterosexual students, with a hope to end bullying.
These books span many genres from fiction to poetry and are broadly classified into three groups:
books recommended for grades K-6; books recommended for grades 7-12 and books for teachers.
Just a casual perusal of these "recommended" books is sure to deliver an electric jolt to your head. Books that are meant for pre-schoolers have detailed and shockingly explicit details of sexual acts between preschoolers! These are loaded with anecdotes that would fit in a pornographic website. They seem to describe and encourage almost every adult fantasy, glorifying public masturbation, mentioning sexual relationships between adults and children matter-of-factly, anal sex in restrooms, sexual relations between teachers and their students, sexual games between little kids and vivid, glorified acts of sex.
At no point while reading these books does one feel that they were chosen with the aim to promote alternate sexual understanding between students and tolerance among different sexual groups. All they seem to aim to do is give preschoolers an unnecessary, untimely and rude introduction to the world of sex.
Discovering that ABC News, CBC News, NBC News, and CNN are all boycotting this story has left me feeling incensed and powerless. Without massive media attention on this issue, the Obama administration will continue to do nothing to protect American schoolchildren from their own "Safe Schools Czar".
Knowing that Obama will do nothing, what can we do?
Like most of life's activities, pushing smut into the hands of children requires money. GLSEN is a non-profit organization which works by spending other peoples money. We must convince as many of those people as possible to quit funding GLSEN's "Smut For Children" program.
Let's take a look at who sponsors this smut outreach:

Many of these organizations won't listen -- and have no reason to listen. Barbara Streisand is obviously beyond hope. "The International Association of Gay and Lesbian Country Western Dance Clubs" also doesn't look like a great prospect for finding a receptive audience.
However, many of the largest donors are American corporations, and those corporations have a vested interest in not being publicly known as smut peddlers.

You probably recognize several of the names on this list as companies which have been the recipients of large amounts of your tax dollars in recent government hand-out programs.
If you do business with these companies or if you know anyone at these companies, let them know how you feel about their peddling smut to your kids. Get the word out. Let your friends know and ask them to let their friends know. Individually, we're powerless. Together, we can force these corporations to understand that peddling smut to our children is not in the interests of their shareholders -- regardless of how much favor it might earn them from the Obama administration. We must do this at any cost, for there is nothing more priceless than the innocence of our children.
