Colors for quilt designs are usually warm colors such as orange, red, purple and yellow but you can also make use of cool colors such as the shades of blue and green. If you want to put your quilt to make a warm look on your living room, then you can choose the warmer colors.

- Quilting can be done by hand or by a sewing machine and the choice depends largely on your preference. You can do it by hand if you want to preserve the tradition of hand quilting, but you can also do machine quilting as well, which is a lot easier and faster.
