subject: Get In Style With Gold Aviators [print this page]

Gold aviators are another popular style of these mirrored aviators sunglasses.

Both gold lenses and gold frames are available from manufacturers. The ones you are most likely to see wherever you go is silver mirrored aviators. You might be tempted to settle for silver, but gold aviators are definitely available from retailers.

Gold frames on aviators are usually not paired with silver lenses because, to me at least, it is not pleasing to the eye. Gold frames are commonly used with dark green, smoke, or black lenses. Gold lenses are a bit harder to come by, but they can be paired with many different colored frames that will work.

This is speaking strictly for gold aviators. If price is not a concern, then you can probably find almost any color you would want.

Gold was used in many different styles of sunglasses. It can span from regular driving shades, to beach shades, biking shades. Using gold can bring class and style to an outfit if done properly. However, when overly used this can be extremely tacky. You see this very commonly done in hip hop, though it is more hilarious than it is tacky since it is so obviously done on purpose.

The color coated on the lens may scratch off if you are not too careful with it too. Most sunglasses have a coating of UV protection on the top for protecting your eyes. This can nullify any protection that was intended by the sunglasses. All sunglasses will need protection since they are vulnerable to scratches. Protect your sunglasses with a soft case for scratches or a hard case for crush protection.

This small price can make your sunglasses last much longer. Some more expensive sunglasses will have a better layer on top of the coating so the sunglasses are also less likely to scratch.
