Overall, there are many causes to vaginal yeast infections. Most of these causes you will not be able to avoid in your lifetime but rather should be aware of. Things such as diabetes and overall suppressed immune systems lead to an increased amount of yeast infections. If you have any of these problems already you will want to be aware that they could possibly lead to a yeast infection and what you should do in case one occurs. This is important because you will want to know what you should look for and what to do if it occurs. There are several home remedy options as well as over the counter medications. Your doctor can also prescribe a medication that will clear up the infection quickly and without any use of messy creams or ointments that can be inconvenient.
