The bike was aimed to be successful on Indian road conditions.
Many new features were introduced in the bike for making it Indian road ready, these were two-way air jacket, a diamond frame, and an engine producing a torque of 12.8 NM at a relatively low 5500 RPM for fuel economy. The first launch of the bike had the kick start feature only. The second version introduced the self start in the bike.
Honda Unicorn is one of the best looking bike in its class. The sporty looks of Honda Unicorn turns heads of bike riders. The mileage is also a plus point for this bike. The bike contains the spectacular graphics at the fuek tank, side panels and comes in stunning colors. The headlamp and the mask combination gives the impression of Cheetah. There is a small black tinted windscreen on the mask and rear view mirrors are attached on handlebars in black. The bike has analog tachometer for displaying the speed and other statistics of the bike. This was the first ever bike where Honda used the 3D Wing mark logo of the company.
The acceleration is also a plus point for the bike as the bike achieves 0-60 kmph in just 5 seconds. The smart acceleration is retained in higher speed also. The Honda Unicorn has 5 speed gear box that is smooth in shifting from one to another.
