subject: Blogging Is A Simple Way To Make Money [print this page]

Blogging has become a phenomenonBlogging has become a phenomenon. It's an easy way to create a website (you can create a blog in a minute or less) so a blog appeals to many people. Then there are those people who see blogging as a business. They've become known as "money bloggers."

Over ten years ago, when I started my blogging career, blogs were considered online journals. Making money from your blog was frowned on by this early-blogger elitist crowd. It amused me that the bloggers who screamed loudest against commercialization initially started to blog for cash themselves a few years later.

Because it primarily involves writing, blogging is especially appealing to writers, who can turn a few hours of work into a quick infusion of cash.

So how do you make money from a blog? Let's look at easy ways.

First, get a job as a blogger. You do this by creating some blogs on your own, to get a taste of what it's like. Then you can advertise your blogging skills to others. Most of these are like those low-paying article writing jobs but you can soon make the big bucks by blogging for a company.

To get these highly paid jobs, you need to be visible as a blogger, or you need expertise in areas like technology, business, or finance. Areas like fashion and parenting pay well too.

One way to get a blogging job is to suggest a blogging topic to a company that doesn't already have a blog. It might take a little nerve on your part to do this, but it's worth it: Some top bloggers keeping up with a lot of blog and earn five figures for doing it.

The next way you can make money is by creating blogs and monetizing them. If you've been writing for magazines, consider creating blogs and monetizing them.

You can monetize blogs in many different ways, including selling products as an affiliate, selling advertising space, and selling your own products.

Finally, you can create blogs to sell: to "flip". Blog "flipping" isn't as profitable as it once was. But if you can prove that a blog is making money, you'll still find eager buyers.

By now you're creative juices are probably flowing at the thought of money blogging. If you want your own money making writing job in which you call all the shots, you definitely should start blogging.
