subject: Advantages Of Medical Transcription Jobs [print this page] I have actually done medical transcribing for a few months several years ago for a local doctor. I never received any formal training but had worked in a hospital for several years so I knew some of the verbiage and one of the doctors took a chance on me and wanted to help me. In 1999 I got divorced and was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. I am currently working fulltime and have every intention of continuing to do so. However, I would like the opportunity to work from home. My current job is very stressful and a very hostile work environment which is not conducive to Fibromyalgia. I also have to commute 1.5 hours one way. I would love the opportunity to be able to do medical transcription jobs at home like I used to.
I think some of the advantages of medical transcription jobs would be flexibility. Having the opportunity to work from my home office Also, with my health one of the major advantages is to have the ability to work from home. Not having to commute 3 hours a day in Colorado weather would be great. I have my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue under control however some days I still have bad days and having the ability to work from home would be indescribable. I already have a good grasp of the medical field and transcribing. I have taken a local course on medical words and a mini med school so I wouldn't be starting completely from scratch. I think taking a course would help boost me to the next level and give me the complete education I need to have a new career and the jump start I so desperately want and need. SN:0TG9Y2ESY
I want to receive the education, and find fulltime and lasting employment and make a career out of medical transcribing. I have already been in touch with several local doctors who would use my services for transcribing when I complete a transcription course and have some type of formal training and do daily searches on available medical transcribing positions. Thank you in advance for viewing my essay. I know that you get a lot of requests for help especially in the economy that we are in. Since I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1999 I volunteered for the Arthritis Foundation, MS Society and hold my own support groups. I have given generously and unselfishly, I am certain my giving will come back around and already has. Nothing would make me happier or more proud than to receive a full scholarship to your school so that I can get the new start for my life and career. Which would also help me to have the ability to focus more attention on my health and family. I am certain that with or without your help I will complete a medical transcribing course and make a new career and life for me. However, I would love the opportunity to be able to receive any help that I could receive.
