subject: 6 Steps To Set Up Your Own Online Business Opportunity In Less Than A Week [print this page]

Assume that you have found your product or service which you want to sell or promote online. It might be a product, such as hand-embroidered waistcoats, or it may be a service, such as Indian head massage. Either way, you want to start up your own online business opportunity and develop a second passive income stream.

Follow this easy How To guide and get yourself started this week.

1.Set up a blog.

You can use any of several sites, such as Wordpress or Blogger.

It is simple to do and they have step-by-step guidance notes on the sites to help new bloggers get started.

Give your blog a title, the name of your business, and write a post about who you are and what you are going to be selling. Nothing too extensive is required, do not get really technical, just as if you were chatting to a friend and telling them all about what you are setting up.

2.Use your social network contacts.

I use Facebook so I will use it as an example. You can set up a fan page on Facebook.

Invite all your friends to become a fan of the page and fill the page with pictures of your products or examples of your work. Again, there is user help about uploading, etc., but you already know more about that than me, I expect! It should take you a couple of hours work.

The important part is to put a link on your Facebook page that goes to your blog page, and put a link on your blog page that goes to your Facebook page.

3.Set up a PayPal account

This is very straightforward and easy to do and should, again, only take a couple of hours to do.

PayPal will handle all your money taking for your sales. PayPal accepts all major credit cards, debit card payments and even direct money transfers. You set up a business account with them (free of charge) and they will handle all your receipt of payments from all the stuff you will sell. You can access your money by withdrawing it into your own bank account at any time. Full instructions on how to do this are on the PayPal site, nothing complicated.

Then you put details of your PayPal account and how people can pay you on your blog page.

4.Create some more content

The success of your blog will depend largely on you providing new and interesting content for your visitors. This will help with search engine rankings and also will encourage people to refer others to your blog. No, this is not as hard as you might at first think and you do not have to be an expert writer.

You are, presumably, setting up an online business opportunity doing something you enjoy, otherwise, what is the point? Therefore, you should have plenty of your own to say about the subject, opinions, statements, information for others not as clued up as you are, etc.

Give tips, hints, history of your subject, case studies, how you got interested, rants, its all good.

If you get stuck for content, try Wikipedia or Google for articles related to your topic. There is a world wide web of material out there. Search for your subject and get some inspiration. Spend some time doing this and post some of the info to your blog but keep some for later. You need to keep drip feeding the blog and building it over time.

5.Add product and/or service pages to your blog.

All you need to do is add another page to your blog that describes all the benefits of your product or service. Try to think beyond the obvious. Sell the sizzle. For example, the benefit of a new car is not that it is new or works properly (well, that is the obvious!) but it is the envious looks from friends and neighbours, it is the smell of the new interior, it is the luxurious feel of the driving experience. Understand what I mean?

Then add how people can pay by adding your PayPal details.

6.Finally, tell as many people as possible you are open for business

You have already got all your Facebook pals primed and ready so tell them you are now open for business. Then go to Google to find as many forums and chat rooms and other blogs that are related to your product or service as possible.

Contact as many people doing the same thing as you as possible. Start a dialogue with them. Share ideas. Share customers. Share links. Soon, you will start to receive your share of the money, too.

I know that this is very rudimentary but it will work and it will whet your appetite for doing business on the internet. For a start up shot at an online business opportunity, it will not cost you anything but a bit of time.

I hope you can see that with a bit of time committed each day, you can get an online business opportunity set up and running and a second stream of income coming into your household.

You are a lot closer to your own real money maker online than you might at first think!!
