Seeing the big picture can be just one of the steps that can change your attitude. Once you start to develop a more regular workout routine, you will begin to see progress. This progress will motivate you to get out the next day and start to ramp up your efforts. Once you get past the first few days of running, you will already begin to feel a sense of accomplishment. Your body will already begin to change and you will start to see how running can be fun. Once you start to get in shape, you do not have to even think about how difficult it must have been like on the first few days. This can help you to stay focused on your main goal which is ultimately getting in the best shape you can.

Another easy thing you can do to make getting in shape more enjoyable is by working out with a portable music player. Portable music players are easy to use and are getting cheaper and cheaper. Listening to your favorite songs while running can help you to get into a zone and space out while running. You will start to not even think about what you are doing and before you know it, you will be done.
