subject: Advantages Of Using Fiberglass Insulation [print this page]

Energy crisis has become one of the most talked about and severe concerns of the modern age. Governments of all countries are taking all the necessary measures in order to conserve energy in every possible manner. One of the major steps has been insulating the buildings to save the energy spent on heating and cooling.

Home improvement procedures such as insulation are a common practice around the world these days. For the buildings under construction, the insulation work is done as the structure is built. On the other hand, for buildings that have already been constructed, retrofit insulation is performed. The procedure includes fiberglass insulation, which is done as per the requirements of the building.

To ensure perfection in the fiberglass insulation, it is necessary to perform an energy audit of the building. This helps in understanding the weak areas of the building from where heat loss is most prominent. Once a work plan is ready, premium quality fiberglass material is used to fill in the spaces and crevices to insulate the roof, walls, and floor of the building.

Fiberglass insulation is a highly preferred form of retrofit insulation, as it is economical and extremely durable. The insulation work also depends on the various factors such as the building material used and the climatic conditions of the place Moreover, the temperature range during summers and winters also determines the retrofit insulation to be done in the building.

To promote the insulation work in all the buildings, the Government is providing financial support in the form of PSE rebate. The PSE rebate covers some part of the expenses incurred by the individual in the insulation work. This allows the Government to keep the loss of energy under check, thereby saving a lot of money.

Apart from the commercial and residential buildings, insulation is done in the industrial buildings as well. This helps the companies in curbing the energy losses and decreasing the cost of production tremendously. The energy saved also protects the environment as the need for producing energy is reduced.
