subject: How To Pass An Exam. Considerations And Recommendations [print this page]

When you are getting prepared to an exam, the only fact, which should be taken into consideration, is that passing is generally easier then repeating an examination. Consequently, passing should be like tossing a gun and shooting. Nevertheless, it does not mean that the preparation should be minimal.

1.Start preparing as early as possible. Take notes of lectures, or tape-record them in order you had all the necessary information about an exam. If there are some unclear moments in the exam questions, notes, and records will help you to sort out the information and explain these moments. It is always better to look through several pages of notes then several chapters of a book.

2.When getting prepared look through every question and try to answer them in your own words without looking into books and notes. Then find the required information in textbooks and look through the questions again. Thus, you will shape the outline of answering each question, and, if you know the details of the subject, half way is gone.

3.If there are some unclear topics within the listed questions, try to research them deeper. Find the examples and explanations of unclear moments, and understanding will come to you. The fact is that these questions tend to meet more often than simple and clear questions.

4.Get enough sleep before passing an exam. You had enough time to get prepared, and now try to relax and have a rest. Anyway, lack of sleep will affect your memory badly, that is why overnight learning will not help you pass the exam better.

5.Keep yourself stress free, as stresses are often immobilizing while preparing to an exam. They damage the work of memory and logical thinking. However, mobilizing stress during an exam makes miracles, and you will be able to remember a bit more then in a calm situation.

Finally, be sure in your success. It is the key recommendation for passing an exam.
