subject: Rain Or Shine Garden Sails, Whatever The Weather [print this page]

The great thing about garden sails is that they work just as well, and look just as good, under a blanket of rain as they do in the glare of British sunshine. If there was ever an island famed for its inconclusive climate, that island was this island: and, with the British Summer now apparently occupying the two months prior to, and the two months after, actual summer (while July and August are just wet), its about time we found some garden furniture to match our climate.

At least, point out all the happy owners of brand new garden sails already, we actually get two summers. This is a fair point. Whod want July and August to be hot anyway, when they could get all of May and June, plus all of September and October instead? And with those super deflective shade sails in place, it doesnt really matter what the weather is doing. After all, July and August arent exactly cold they just seem traditionally bereft of blue skies. Theres nothing more pleasant, when a person stops to think about it for a while, than sitting under ones garden sails in the warm, slightly humid air of a July or August day, listening to the soft drip of rain against the scientifically treated fabric.

The point is, the British, since time immemorial have been experts at making the best of the weather. And if theres one thing guaranteed to mean that the best of the weather has been made (not to mention the most of the surrounding space, which looks wonderful when set against a shade sail or two), that thing is the combined technology and comfort of a set of garden sails. The sails are impregnated with anti UV compounds that keep off a minimum 85% of the suns rays; theyre weather proof, water proof and, because theyre made of toughened shade cloth, wind proof too. They look incredible, they last for years and they can make a rainy July day the perfect time to get some fresh air. Reading a book in the garden under the shelter of a shade sail has to be one of the most appealing things about the English summer that old school, devil may care, it might be raining but were still going to make the best of it attitude in full swing.

Garden sails are a proper investment, at a time when investments that really last are more advisable than ever before. Why buy some flimsy garden sun furniture that isnt waterproof, isnt even properly UV proof and will be broken by next year? Get a garden sail or two fitted and one is guaranteed year round enjoyment, spectacularly original garden furniture everything, in other words, that your average parasol isnt.

The shade sail has a class, durability, versatility and beauty all of its own. Why not get on that bandwagon quick, and start enjoying some garden sails before the late summer really hits?
