Moving can be due to a number of factors. Families move to new neighborhoods when parents find jobs in another city or simply to upgrade their neighborhood. Businesses, meanwhile, might find themselves shifting shop to a place with more customers or lower taxes.
In a study, 16 percent of the population of the United States relocates every year, and that is estimated to be approximately 43 million people. And most of the people do that are the young adults compared to the older ones. The age and status of a person could be a few factor of a high percentage of relocation. Single and divorced people tend to relocate than those who are widowed.
In the United States, 20 percent of the people that relocate are Asian and Hispanics, 19 percent are Blacks and having the lowest moving rate are the white non-Hispanics.
As mentioned earlier, age and marital/family status are factors in relocating. Others are race, social and economic status. As also mentioned above, one reason why some people are forced to transfer is because they don't own the land or the house they live. Like those who are just renting units. This kind of movers constitutes more or less 52 percent in the United States.
Approximately twenty five percent of the total population in the US who experience changes in family situation relocates. On the other hand, those relocating either for employment or self-employment reasons cover thirty one percent.
Choosing one's future is as important as choosing one's education which may mean moving to another place that would give the best opportunities. Those who have finished their college education, or even higher education, are more open to the possibilities of relocating given that at the end of the road leads them to a better economic compensation.
Although relocating to a new place might be stressful and sad, many people still find it exciting. When you move, there are new people to meet and places to see and enjoy. For many, it symbolizes leaving the past behind and starting a new and better journey.
