What is Lanyard?

Lanyard consist of strap/lace/cord, break-away clasp, attachment and the desigh.

1The strap can be made of nylon, polyester, or cotton. They are offered in several basic types and shapes. The thickness range from 3/8" to one inch . The most common length is 36". Colors can range from a standard selection provided by the lanyard company or a custom color can often be provided. Custom lanyards colors are determined by providing the appropriate PMS color to the manufacturer. They match the PMS color selected with the dyes available to color the lanyards with the perfect match.

2 The break-away clasp is a key part for safety purposes. If the lanyard becomes caught or needs to be taken off quickly, the ID can be pulled loose without causing any damage to the person. To keep one from being harmed if the ID lanyard was caught in a piece of equipment, the breakaway clip will separate to ensure no damage to you.

3The attachment can be used to hold small items onto the lanyard. Popular options are the swivel hook, the badge clip, plastic hook and split ring.

4 The remaining item is desigh on the lanyard. Text or logos are common printing options. You can mix and match colors, fonts, and even add a company logo or slogan to the custom lanyard to create something that will help your current and possible customers to remember you.
