Considered to be the worst financial crisis since the one related to the Great Depression of the 1930's it has burst many peoples' bubbles and left them in states of shock, worry but also some who can see the wonderful challenge.
More than ever we need to get back to grass roots and realise how we came to be in this commercial bubble and what we were like before. Through commercialism we have reduced our connection with the simple things that life has to offer. Many people have become so conditioned by our commercial society to truly believe that happiness can only be achieved at a certain level of possession of material things.
So let's take a step back and look at ourselves. How many people have ended up working for other people in jobs that they don't like and often do not feel appreciated by their bosses? How many of these people can switch off when they come home to their family and at least enjoy the non work part of the day? How many people can't and bring their frustration into their home and touch their families with it in various ways?
So What Can You Do? Realise that a lot of your life has been conditioned from a very young age. Remember things you used to enjoy to do as a child and try to start at least one of them again as a hobby. Do this without judging whether you are good at it or not, measure it by how much it relaxes you and if it gives you some joy.
Start to ask for change which is positive to your life and will help you focus on whatever your real talents are. As you have these thoughts make them only clear and positive, believe that you truly deserve something good to happen. If you can say it out loud but the creation of these thoughts will also work fine, once done regularly over time.
You will see that your expectations, hopes and dreams for your life will begin to change as some of your old conditioning breaks down.
Your chance to change your life is under your control. Identify what it is that you wish to change and in whatever way you are comfortable start to believe that it is possible. This can be writing your ideas down on paper and developing them, it can be using affirmations which are basically positive statements that you can either say in your mind or out loud.
Here's the thing, you are not the set of circumstances that you are living with, you have your own unique personality and possibilities. Open your mind up to this way of thinking and little by little you will start to believe that it is possible.
