My first taste of Network Marketing started back in 1990 when I was introduced to Amway. That started a journey that has lasted 20 years and has brought many delights to my life. This article is not about me but about what Network Marketing has taught me. I pray that something will be said that will help you along your journey as you seek that which you desire.

PATIENCE

This is one of the hardest lessons to learn. The society we live in "demands right" now results and we bring this same attitude to the table. We want to be rich now and not have to go through the valleys and climb the hills which are placed in front of us. So many of us join a company and when success does not come within 2 weeks or at most 30 days, we give up and say, "Network Marketing does not work." We take the time on our jobs to learn a new system or piece of equipment because it affects our pay if we don't, but our patience is thin when it comes to learning the how's and why's of MLM because we don't really believe we can reach the level of success we dream about.

TRAINING

Have you ever tried to do a job without the assistance of a trainer? Most of us have had trainers teach us how to do the jobs we hold or held. The trainer would walk us through the steps and ensure we were not learning the process incorrectly. This process is very vital in Network Marketing because there are essential steps or procedures we must follow which will help us reach the goals we have set. Training helps build our confidence and our belief in the system and in us. Training provides the tools we need to improve our skills and thereby increase our productivity in business. Training provides an abundance of information which is helpful in developing our skills and knowledge base. This information is used to create growth in our organization and create the desired results we want.

EDUCATION

By education I'm referring to personal improvement of one's self. Reading the required books will help you change your mindset from that of a person who trades time for dollars (your job). The successful men and women of this industry all have the same work ethic, learn as much as you can and apply what you have learned. Once applied, teach others to do the same thing and you have created a replicating machine which will continue to build and build.

Read self-empowerment books, motivational books, surround yourself with like minded people,

who desire to achieve in spite of the road blocks. Maintain a positive attitude and don't allow others to distract you from your goal.
