Regardless of the season of the year, Baltimores Inner Harbor is one of those special vacation spots where activities are happening all the time. Because of the wide array of performers ranging from fire-eating circus accts to great amateur bands singing for the citys hundreds of guests, the open-air stage in the center of this busy shopping and museum zone alone is enough to hold visitors in awe. If you are hungry, Inner Harbor offers more restaurants than you can sample in a week where you can treat yourself to local dishes such as seafood and crab cakes. An amazing collection of exotic sea creatures including some mean looking sharks, all displayed inside a concrete silo of salt water, can be found in The National Aquarius, which is open daily, is another awesome destination that you must bring your kids to. In addition, you may also take them to The Children's Museum, which was ranked as a "Top 5" of its kind in the whole United States.

Baltimore Vacation: National Aquarium

During your Baltimore vacation, what kind of animals will you bee seeing at the National Aquarium?This famous spot is regarded as a must see spot all throughout the city and has been a home to different animals that will give excitement to your kids. Among these animals is the Johnstons freshwater crocodile, which is equally fast on both land and water. They have powerful tails and strong legs and are not generally dangerous to humans, but can inflict serious injury with their sharp teeth. Another animal in the place is the Spiny-tailed Monitor, otherwise recognized as the ridge-tailed monitor, which exists in the whole city in various colors and sizes. Sited at Baltimores Inner Harbor is Maryland Science Center, which is an exclusive non-profit association that you should visit during your Baltimore vacation. It was completely transformed and doubled in size since the reopening in May of 2004, and they now have three levels of all new exhibits in bright sunlit galleries, new eating and seating options throughout the building. Tickets can be bought on the day of your tour through phone or online booking. Groups consisting of 15 or more people can take advantage of the group ticket discount only if they purchase it in a minimum of two weeks advance. Also, the Center serves nourishing meals and snacks in Beakers Caf and a brown bag zone for those desiring to take the food with them. But you should be aware that there is no reserved seating as it is on a first-come, first-served basis. A variety of books, science kits, instruments, and games are provided on Level One of the Science Store.
