Sometimes we don't realize that the solution to our anger problem can be found within our selves. It's a method that they call "self-taught". Here are some of my suggestions which I think can help you control and manage your anger.

Understand why you get angry: people who have an anger problem need to understand the situation and the cause why they got angry will help them know their self better. You need to ponder on the whole scenario and try to analyze the cause and effect of your actions. Then when you come to realize and see the clearer picture, try to ask yourself - why that thing makes me mad? Through this, you will be able to know the right reaction to that scenario. So, that next time if you will encounter the same scenario again then you will know what to do. This is how important understanding is activities to control anger.

Have someone to talk to: in those activities to manage anger, this one may not be applicable to everyone because of the reason that not everyone will have the courage to express their problem to others. Some people will just prefer not to share their problem to others because they think that they can solve it on their own. But to those people that prefer to speak out, then that is a good way of releasing bad feelings or negative vibes from your system. Sometimes what people need is just a listening ear and sympathy for them feel comforted.

Do not entertain your anger: this is one of those activities to manage anger that many people are having a hard time applying. The fact that if you are boiling with so much anger, it's really to control it. The only technique that could be applicable is to divert your attention. You need to think fast and find something that could help you divert your attention. It's could be a funny memory, or get way from the situation, or doing something like reading or writing. For it to be fully effective, don't stop until the anger feeling is totally gone. By doing that, you are giving yourself a time to think of better ways to do and how to react positively to the situation.
