Telefonica O2 is a subsidiary of Telefonica Europe plc which is originally based in Spain. They are more commonly known under the O2 brand name and have been in operations for almost twenty years now. The company originally started as BT Wireless, a subsidiary of the British Telecom group which included the then-famous Genie Internet.
