The German manufacturer BMW has launched in Japan a special X6's edition named the Performance Unlimited. This version dedicated to Japanese car market will be produced in only 20 copies. Aerodynamic package of BMW X6's Performance Unlimited contains a redesigned bumper, new side skirts and a redesigned air deflector.
Also, the German manufacturer has chosen for this special version, aluminum wheels with 21-inch diameter. The body of X6 Performance Unlimited was painted with special silver and the interior upholstery is made by Nevada leather, perfectly combined with aluminum components.
BMW X6 Performance Unlimited has propeller twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder capable of producing 306 horsepower and develop a maximum torque of 400 Nm. Special version of the X6's engine was coupled with an automatic transmission with eight reports. The special Edition of the Bavarian model will cost the equivalent of 86,000 euros.
After customers and the media have complained that the X6 can accommodate only four people on board, the Bavarians will introduce in the X6's optional features a rear bench with three individual seats.
The current configuration of the rear seat of the BMW X6 stands out in the center console separating the two seats available for customers. It is removable, being one of the factors which BMW hopes to impart to his model a picture of an ultra comfortable SUV.
BMW is the first manufacturer who decided to change the gait pattern of rear seat of his model. Volkswagen said the same thing earlier this year, the model who went from two to three back seets being the Passat CC. Meanwhile, Volkswagen has decided to completely abandon the configuration with two seats on its model, which has been available for several months only in five seats version.
