A minor league baseball team, Albuquerque Isotopes, plays in the Pacific Coast League, and is a Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Albuquerque Isotopes began play in 2003, when the Calgary Cannons moved to New Mexico. The name of the team came from the long-running TV series The Simpsons. In different seasons of the year, tickets to watch this team play are available and the baseball game is thoroughly enjoyed by baseball die-hard fans. The team plays are held at the stadium in the city, where other activities are held as well. The Isotopes have excellent players and each has a performance not matching the other.
