subject: Rebuilding Your Life After Divorce & Move On [print this page]

Moving forward is very important when trying to rebuild your lives after divorce. You'll be out of it for a while, but you find that you can rebuild yourself and learn from your mistakes. It is difficult to separate from someone who was once part of who you are, but you can find that you can go on and find new things in your life to bring joy and happiness. You can find a new hobby to your church, community, or at home.

Once you have permission to cry alone, you will start to find other things that fill you in. If you are the type of person who wants to be alone, you should find something new to learn what you can do. Take the local Community College art class. Learn how to sculpt or make pottery. You can also learn to write. You can write your life story or article to describe what you are experiencing. You may find that a hobby can become something you can pursue a career. You can spend hours doing helpful things rather than just sitting in front of the television and eats ice cream.

Some women have a hobby that brings them into interaction with others. You can enter a local group or Bowling League. You can visit the community center and participate in a card game once a week. If you really want to go in an interaction, take dance classes. Learn ballroom or jazz. Then, you can learn something and find something new to enjoy. You do not have to do it alone; you can take a brother or a cousin or friend to be your partner. This will be something new to experience. If dancing does not look like a good hobby, you can take a local job for something you already know.

If you were really good at sports, you can become a coach or assistant coach of a team of local high school or college team. You can also do some community service to fulfill your vacant time. You can do things like feed the poor, to raise funds for your church or community, or other services that are needed.

You can take a lot of things, classes at local schools, you can meet new friends. You can learn to cook, paint, write, or anything that promotes creativity. Remember that you need to find something that is convenient. You can also find a hobby around the house, too. You can go antiquing with a friend, or you can touch up the entire house.
