subject: Mcarthur Court Tickets - Oregonians Go Crazy For Winter Basketball [print this page]

The Pacific Coast is alive with the thrill of basketball this winter, and although it may be chilly outside this January, the basketball courts in the state will be red-hot with hoops action as college and pro teams take the hardwood by storm this season. Both the University of Oregon Ducks and Portland Trail Blazers are on a roll this year, and the two unstoppable teams are two of the state's largest attractions during the month of January, when the courtside action heats up.

Fans of the Oregon Ducks have seen this Pac 10 team get off to a slow but steady start so far toward the beginning of December, and Eugene will come alive at the end of January when the Ducks host some of their toughest division competitors at home. The first of these thrilling matchups will commence Jan. 28, when the Ducks challenge the UCLA Bruins to a duel on the basketball court.

Basketball fans are already clamoring to get their hands on McArthur Court tickets to this big game, and with Teondre Williams, Tajuan Porter and LeKendric Longmire tearing it up for Oregon, the green-and-white excitement will pack the house at McArthur during this intense Pac 10 battle. The Bruins won't give up without a fight, though, and with Michael Roll, Malcolm Lee and Drew Gordon paving the way for the bears, UCLA will bring the heat to Eugene in late January for one of the most anticipated games of the season.

As if this West Coast excitement isn't enough for the Ducks, Oregon will come right off the game against UCLA and battle fellow Southern Californians the USC Trojans on Jan. 30 on home turf, packing the one-two punch against the Pac 10 hotshots. The Pit will be alive with chants for the Ducks when McArthur Court hosts the Trojans in late January, and Oregon will test the talents of USC's top players like Nikola Vucevic, Alex Stepheson and Dwight Lewis when the Trojans travel to Eugene for a Pac 10 showdown on the basketball court.

College basketball is the talk of Eugene this January, but the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers have made sure to spread the wealth when it comes to the spotlight. Greg Oden and Brandon Roy have combined forces to lead the Trail Blazers to a fantastic start to the NBA's regular season, and Portland has provided the entire state of Oregon with NBA fervor, bringing the ruckus to the Rose Garden for home games this season.

On Feb. 1, the Trail Blazers will be on top of their game as they prepare to challenge the Charlotte Bobcats on home turf, and with Stephen Jackson and Acie Law now in the mix for the Bobcats, this throw-down on the basketball court is sure to get a little bit hotter. Gerald Wallace is another weapon Charlotte has this season, but the Trail Blazers are out to put a stop on the feline's attack.

No matter whether it's college or pro basketball that's dominating the sports scene in Oregon this winter, Head online for tickets to all the action. With the Trail Blazers and Ducks making statements on their respective courts, this January will see the apex of the basketball excitement come crashing down on both the historic McArthur Court and also the Rose Garden.
