subject: Winning The Parcel Delivery Competition [print this page]

Since travel became so easy and English became the first business language of many of the worlds major cities, its no wonder that, according to research carried out by the Institute for Public Policy Research, more than five million Britons now live abroad. Australia and Spain are still popular places to move to from the UK but emigration is certainly not limited to these two places.

With such a large number of Brits living abroad, chances are if youre reading this youll know at least one person who is from the UK but who lives in another country and if you do, how do you keep in touch? The obvious answer is email and online chat, after all these cost next to nothing to set up and run and mean you can talk to friends for as long as you want at no extra cost. But the problem with email is that messages can be misinterpreted and it is very hard to convey any sort of serious emotion, at least with a letter you could assume that the author had taken the time to find the paper, write the letter, buy a stamp and find a post box.

If you want a really personal way to stay in touch with a friend abroad, send a parcel every now and again, at birthdays, Christmas or just because youve seen something you know theyll love. These days its no big deal, couriers to Slovenia exist all over the place and all you need to do is find one that is reliable and offers great services at the best prices. The advantage of parcel delivery to Slovenia these days is that you can see prices and book collections online and only have to be physically at home for the time when your courier is coming to collect.

There are a few things that you cant send abroad due to mailing restrictions but common sense will usually give you an idea of what these are. You cant for instance send edibles, liquids, prescription medication or aerosols and you obviously cant send anything that is illegal either. Chances are youre more likely to want to send items of clothing, photographs or books, things that your friends might well be missing if they cant get what they want in Slovenia.

Slovenia might not have a great chance of winning the World Cup in 2010 but modern day couriers are winning the parcel delivery competition over the standard postal service.
