subject: Motivation Tips - 7 Tips How You Can Stay Motivated And Achieve Success [print this page]

Tip 1 Know who you are and what you are gifted to do in life

You can never have true success and fulfillment in life unless you are doing what you are born to do with your life. It's as simple as a Myres Briggs temperament test that you can find on the Internet and you can soon read all about what sort of person that you are. Everyone has theirideas as to what you should do, the Myres Briggs test can tell you if you are right.

If you are a Christian also, you can read up on the spiritual gifts given by God and see which ones that you have and make sure you do them in some of your time. Doing you gift will be easy and fun and life will have more meaning if you do so.

Tip 2 Make your own goals and stick to them

When you know who you are and what you are on earth to do, it is time to write down your goals and stick to them until you achieve them. If you are working on your parents goals or your husbands goals or another person's goals you may not have the motivation to get them done when the going gets tough. Batter to design you own goals. When you make goals and succeed you are a success.

If you don't get where you want to be in the allotted time, re assess your goals and make new targets. I have set a goal to write 150 articles in a month. If in 15 days I have only done 50 I might revise it down to 100 this month.

Tip 3 Learn from your missed goals and failures

Failure often is not the end of the road, but it is vital that you use failure to get better in the end. If your goal is far out of reach for you and was very unrealistic of you to set, it is silly to re set the goal. Better to make the goal an easier one to achieve but one step in the right direction. The inventor of the light globe had over 1000 failures before he invented it right, aren't you and I glad that he persisted. We can all fall over in life but learn to fall forward when you fail. Learning to go on, despite failure, is one of the best talents you can learn if you are going to be a success in anything in life.

Tip 4 Be yourself not anybody else's opinion of you.

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to be what you are not. Better to sit down and have a face to face chat with the people who want you to be a certain way rather then have a fight about it when you go the opposite way. Whatever you do though, make sure you are not trying to impress someone else by being something that you are not. When you love who you are and do what you feel you are called to do, you give yourself a lot greater chance of success.

Tip 5 Don't be too hard on yourself

If you are a Christian you will only be too aware of how Satan makes you feel like garbage and no good for anything. Do yourself a favor and do not join him. If you fail an exam, re sit the class and do better. If you cannot pass do something else. There are always more things to do and a better way for you. Don't think that you are no good because you fail. I can't spell or do great grammar. Many people will read my articles and see many mistakes. Does that stop me from being a prolific writer? No, not at all. Don't beat yourself up and you can have success in what you do.

Tip 6 Learn to reward yourself

When all you do is work and you do not have fun for yourself life can get hard even in the most exciting job or project. It is good to take time out and see a movie or treat yourself to a nice meal or buy a new shirt or dress when you reach a milestone in your goals. Doing this is an personal affirmation that you are good and you love yourself. Today, I saw a movie for instance.

Tip 7 Have a way of measuring your progress

It is important that you have a way to measure what sort of progress you are making. I had five people I love look at a website that I was getting created to see what they thought. They all thought it was a great job. I thought it was very good but when the words, "wow" and "awesome" came back I knew I was on track. You also have to be able to measure your success and progress if you can to stay motivated,

I hope this has helped you
