subject: Remembering Our Past Lives [print this page] Have you ever thought about the reasons behind some strange experiences that you have had in your life? The reasons behind you being uncannily attracted towards a distant place or a specific culture, or maybe a profound emotional impact, moments of fleeting feelings towards a historic event, unexplained fears or perception regarding someone or something? What if one tells you that all this is related to our past lives?
Our past lives hold the roots of who we are today, the way we behave, the way we are, all these stem from the life we had in our past. It is the rationale that defines our life today. It is like that old book whose pages have worn out. In other words our past lives are that forgotten older chapters that sets the current chapters of our life.
Our previous births on the Earth's surface is what our past lives are indicating to. The metrical process of reincarnation is passing through the different cycles of life, then dying and then again rebirth - the experience and conveying the same of our immortal soul, its attainment of elevated spiritual wisdom with each birth and then ultimately ending the process once it has reached the final levels of spiritual wisdom, attaining perpetual peace and happiness, and becoming free forever.
Age old cultures and civilizations practicing religions like Hinduism, which is said to be rich in terms of spiritual content, have reincarnation as the core central tenet around which all their philosophies have been formed. According to such schools of thought it is our past lives and the deeds therein which lies behind the situation we face in our current life, our destinies, our fate, our luck, our perceptions, emotions and fears.
Samsara refers to the recurring cycle of birth and death and the deeds and behavior that we manifest in our past lives is our karma-as per Hinduism. If your karma is fine and superior that is the type of life you will lead in this life, comfortable, pleasant and good and vice versa. Our spirits are trapped in this constant iteration of samsara and maya which is defined as the illusion we have that this is our true life and the attachment we have with all materialistic and earthly things.
When we start understanding the ultimate wisdom that our soul will last forever and the life we are living is not all but is just maya then we can start taking steps to detach ourselves from all earthly things and begin meditation which will help to set our soul free from the shackles of samsara and attain everlasting peace and happiness. The more we work towards these and hammer inside us this realization the more we move towards our goals of achieving the ultimate spiritual astuteness and with every rebirth we gain spiritual wisdom still we reach the final stages of attainment of 'moksha'.
PLRT, or Past Life Regression Technique is something that is able to link us to our past lives, where we remember and know what we were, what we have gone through and how we have behaved in our past lives. By applying the method of hypnotic induction, through a series of questions and suggestions, the human mind is taken to a state in which all peripheral stimuli stops to function and the subconscious mind starts to remember the experiences of our past lives.
